You get told what you actually need
Ken has talked customers out of hiring him. There's a review below from someone who worked out, with his help and over the phone, that she didn't need an electrician at all — and he pointed her to the right contractor instead. That is a strange way to run a business right up until you realize how much of his work comes from people who remember it.
Licensed, insured, and on the permit
Every job goes on the record under license EC13011489. That matters more than it sounds: unpermitted electrical work is the thing that holds up a closing, fails a 4-point inspection, and gives an insurer a reason to argue about a claim.
One electrician, not a rotating crew
You talk to Ken, Ken quotes it, and Ken does the work. Nobody hands your job to whoever was free that morning, and nothing gets lost between the salesperson and the van.
He shows up
Mon–Fri 8am–4pm, with 24/7 emergency service when something can't wait. Send a photo and you'll get a real answer back, not a call-center callback three days later.
What customers say
Professional in appearance, demeanor and in his craft. Superb customer service and went above and beyond on our addition project. Wouldn’t hesitate to hire again for ANY electrical project!
Very helpful as he assessed my situation through immediate communication and pictures….. we figured out that I didn’t actually need his services so I will save him for future use… Honesty like that the text is rare these days so I appreciate his candidness and saving me money. He also recommended a another contractor that could help my situation better. Again that says a lot about his character.
Ken at vital electric is a stand up guy. Honest and dedicated worker. He replaced all the outlets in my 30+ year old home and light switches. All of which are connected to Alexa to turn on lights and tvs around my house! Ken has also replaced fans and lights throughout my home and my parents.
